Let’s continue the conversation about the ways we tend to focus on our past. It has been my observation (and personal experience) that not only do we wish we had do-overs to erase our mistakes, we also reflect back on “the good old days” and long to return to them. We wish to relive the simpler times from a lens of appreciating them more. This is fascinating, because of course, we can’t go back. Instead, we have the option to tap into our ability to find happiness and contentment in this moment. This reminder will serve us all well on our journey.
